I hesitate in posting this, because I do not advocate illegal file sharing. But if I were to come across one of my most anticipated releases of the year, and found that it was stellar, you would want me to share that, wouldn’t you?
The new Keane is brilliant. A bit more upbeat than “Iron Sea”, a bit more sophisticated than “Hopes”, but absolutely brilliant. In my mind, they’re three-for-three. If you can’t wait until next week, here’s a video of them in the studio, which features “Love is the End”. That link will also allow you to preorder “Perfect Symmetry”, which hits stores next week. I know I will be buying it…this Catholic guilt I carry won’t let me get ANYTHING for nothing.
I just am not feeling it as much as I want to… The spunk of Spiralling is missing from the rest of the record for me, and perhaps that is why I have always been more of a “I like this one” kind of fan for Keane. Oh well, can’t win them all!
I really do like the new (Peachy) Keane! Very upbeat and surprisingly so. Had I actually been in possession of said wonderful songs, one would think I would have them on heavy rotation. But that’s just hypothetical and all…
Duane, I can understand that. I’ve been into the last two CDs, and it seems like a natural progression to me. If you didn’t like those, I don’t know if this CD would be a game-changer.
Yuri, excellent play on words, in a hypothetical sense.
